Milk Diary

Founded and developed by an expert mobile engineer.

Kaya Thomas has been in app development for over 10 years.

When her daughter's unexpected NICU stay in 2024 shifted her feeding plans from nursing to pumping, she discovered that no app had the functionality she was really looking for. So she did what moms do: solved the problem.

Milk Diary is her answer to a lack of quality apps that protect data privacy while helping parents actually make progress towards their feeding goals.

In 2014, Kaya launched We Read Too, a mobile app that showcased thousands of children and young adult books written by authors of color. The app had over 150,000 downloads in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

For her work she was recognized by several media publications and was presented the Making A Difference Girl award by former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Advised by an expert lactation consultant.

Victoria Facelli is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant via the Global Breastfeeding Institute at UNC Chapel Hill.

She has trained in NICUs, WIC clinics, small rural hospitals and outpatient birth centers. She has worked for over a decade in outpatient lactation care and multi disciplinary tongue tie treatment.

She is also a graduate from the infant feeding school of real life. After her daughter was not able to breastfeed due to a birth injury she set out to change the field to center mental health instead of breast milk at all costs.

Her book Feed The Baby: An Inclusive Guide to Nursing, Bottle Feeding and Everything In Between focuses on using all the available tools for true feeding success.
